Thanasse Physiotherapy Consultants
We are Orillia's longest serving private physiotherapy clinic, offering solutions to your pain, orthopaedic and soft-tissue injuries since 1987. We practice evidence-based physiotherapy, which involves using the most up-to-date medical and rehabilitation research to provide you with the best therapy treatment options. We will work with you to help you decrease your pain and symptoms, and then provide you with the knowledge and exercises to maintain your gains and prevent recurrence of your problem. We have various rehabilitation programs for almost every type of pain issue or soft-tissue injury. These programs are based on research from a database of over 400 medical, physiotherapy and health journals. Clients are able to access us directly; you don't have to go through a referral from your doctor in most cases. We follow the universal principle that "Movement Is Good!" We will use various physiotherapy and therapeutic exercise techniques to increase the mobility of an injured tissue. Individual and specific strengthening exercises will be used to stabilize and support injured tissue when required. And more importantly, we will leave the tissue alone when it is normal. Our underlying mission is to constantly improve our services and knowledge, which goes towards supplying our clients with the best physiotherapy service possible. There is a friendly atmosphere at the clinic and we encourage all our patients to enjoy the process of getting better. We provide a range of services with more explanation in the "Programs" section but the following is a list of our available services:
We mainly serve the North Simcoe region. If you need affordable physiotherapy, provided in a timely, efficient and effective manner we would be pleased to help you and look forward to serving you.
We are located at:
476 West St.N. Orillia, Ont. L3V 5E8 (across the street from the Humane Society)
Our phone/fax number is:
705-327-1433 (there is an answering machine for after hour calls)
At present we are not seeing any patients for an extended period, including OHIP-based clients (we have used up the number of patients that the Ministry Of Health allotted us). The Ontario Ministry of Health will be working with the North Simcoe LHIN to find another physiotherapy provider/clinic to provide the physiotherapy service. As soon as I know more information, I will post it on this site. Over the next 6 months I will be transitioning to some different physiotherapy practice ideas. Check in with the web-site for further details in the fall.
If you have any questions, or need some further information from us, please just fill out the box below, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
